Recycling Drop-off Center

Please remove all Styrofoam before bringing
recyclables down to the drop-off center.
Styrofoam belongs in the trash and cannot be recycled.

The Drop-off Center is open 24 hours per day, every day of the week. It is open to everyone.

Items that may be dropped off include:

  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Paperboard (cereal & food boxes, tissue & shoe boxes, paper egg cartons, paper drink carriers, etc.)
  • Mixed color paper & magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Books and phone books
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Cans, aluminum foil and pie plates
  • ALL plastic bottles, tubs, buckets & containers marked #1 through #7 (water, soda, laundry, yogurt, margarine, ketchup, shampoo, etc.)
  • Metal items (washing machines, aluminum siding, bicycles, metal fences, small metal appliances etc.)
  • Usable clothing, shoes, hats, drapes, etc.

Office paper is accepted for shredding Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am-12:00 pm. Documents are placed in a locked container at the Drop-off Center.  These containers are then hauled to the paper shredder located at the City's Yard Waste Site for destruction. For more than 8 boxes, please call our office at 610-437-8729 for arrangements.

To witness your documents being shredded, contact the recycling office for an appointment.

Please remove paper clips, binder clips, plastic folders, three ring, etc. Only staples are permitted.
