About

The Patrol Division is the backbone of the Allentown Police Department and includes most of the department’s sworn members.  Allentown City is divided into four districts in which Patrol operates: Center City, South, East, and West.  The Patrol Division consists of four Platoons that provide 24/7 police coverage throughout the city.  Patrol Officers respond to calls for service, enforce traffic and criminal laws, identify and address community needs, and initiate actions to assist the public, investigate suspicious activity, or enforce violations of law.
