Here's What You Need to Know:

• Appliances and metal items are not picked up at the curb with regular recycling or bulk item collections.
• Items like washing machines, dryers, stoves, microwaves, dishwashers, metal siding, fencing, bikes, etc. can all be recycled by drop-off or by scheduled pick-up.

Items with a Fee:

• Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and similar items require a $20 fee per item if they contain refrigerant.
• Pay the fee in person or by mail to the Bureau of Recycling & Solid Waste at 641 S. 10th St, Allentown PA 18103. If paying by mail, must include your phone number so that we can schedule an appointment for pickup.
• PPL is offering $10 and $50 rebates for residents who recycling their working refrigerant appliances with them. Please visit their website for more details.
