Welcome to the Bureau of Recycling & Solid Waste! We provide trash and recycling related services that keep Allentown clean and beautiful.

 

Holiday Collection Schedule - Labor Day 2026

Trash and recycling collections are canceled on Sunday night, September 6th.
Residents in the affected area may place out both trash AND recycling on Wednesday night, September 9th. A maximum of 10 trash bags or 4 (32 gallon) trash cans will be allowed.
The Monday night collection zone will NOT be affected by this holiday.

All City offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th.
The Yard Waste Site on Oxford Dr will be open for regular hours on Saturday, September 5th from 8am to 2pm.

Occasionally, curbside collection may be delayed or rescheduled due to holidays or inclement weather. When you subscribe to our alert system, we can notify you immediately via text message, phone call, and/or email.
