Allentown Parks and Recreation Department is now offering low ratio classes for adolescents focused on teaching water-based skills to increase safety, comfort, and endurance in the water

This course is great for beginner swimmers with little or no experience in the water. Our goal is to provide participants with a variety of water-based drills for important safety and survival skills and to increase comfort and endurance in the water.

Skills covered may include:

  • Survival swimming skills (kicking, floating, treading, survival strokes)
  • Treading water 
  • Using a life jacket
  • What do do in a water emergency
  • Basic water rescues

LESSON INFORMATION 
Location:   Cedar Beach Pool 

Ages:         11-15 years old  

Cost:          Resident-  $50.00 per child
                          *proof of residency is required

Session Dates:
                   June 28th - July 9th
                   July 12th - 23rd

Session Times:
                   9:30-10am


Session Format:
30 minute lessons are held Monday through Friday for two weeks. All levels are offered during all available time slots
