Mayor’s Office of Faith-Based & Neigborhood Partnerships
Welcome to the Mayor’s Office of Faith-Based & Neigborhood Partnerships, your partner in meeting the needs of the Allentown community.
Faith-Based groups and grassroots community organizations usually help in ways that government cannot. Collectively the resources of these groups touch the lives of those who are suffering, in poverty, or need a second chance in life. Their empowerment is vital to the overall growth of Allentown.
As we encourage collaborative partnerships, it is important to recognize the strengths of each partner; invite new partners to the table and ensure all partners have an opportunity to compete equally for federal and state funding.
This office is here to assist our partners in a variety of ways; by providing capacity training opportunities, and most importantly, strengthening collaboration of partners to meet community needs. We also:
- Serve as a liaison between the Administration and the diverse elements of
Faith-based & Neighborhood Partners
- Provide consultation to the various agencies of municipal government in the
area of (FBO) concerns
- Identify and assist in the development of programs that would employ the
resources of the (FBO) in an effort to meet human needs
- Discover and develop resources that can be used to empower efficient working models of Government and Faith-Based & Community organizations
This website is designed to provide information about funding, training and partnership opportunities. If you are a community group or faith-based organization and are interested in the faith-based & neigborhood partnerships, I invite you to contact my office to arrange a meeting with my special assistant.
