The special meeting to appoint an interim Allentown City Controller scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts which affect quorum.
Applications for Allentown City Controller will be accepted until close of business on August 17.
Per the City’s Home Rule Charter, candidates must be residents of the City of the Allentown who have been registered Democrats for at least 30 days prior to the May 27, 2026 vacancy.
After the close of the application period, all eligible applicants will be interviewed during a Special Council meeting in August.
The Allentown City Controller serves as the chief fiscal officer providing critical financial oversight on behalf of more than 130,000 residents.
Interested qualified individuals may submit a resume and a statement listing the value they bring to the City Controller position.
