The Stormwater Utility Fee is an essential part of the City's initiative to secure funding for stormwater management. This funding is crucial to safeguard the health and safety of our residents and the environment.

Understanding that areas with hard surfaces produce more stormwater runoff and pollution, the City established a stormwater utility fee based on the amount of impervious area on a property. The impervious area refers to surfaces like pavement or concrete that does not allow rainwater to soak into the ground.

How We Calculate Fees:

• • Fees are determined based on the impervious area measured on a property.  The calculation is found in ordinance Chapter 270: Fees, Article XI: Stormwater Utility Fee.
  • To view the impervious area measured on your property, click on the Impervious Area Map, and type your address in the box located in the top right corner.

Credits are offered to reduce the fee for business and property owners who implement stormwater management improvements on their properties. Details are outlined in the Stormwater Utility Credit Manual.
