The Citizens Police Academy offers an inside look into law enforcement without certifying citizens as officers. It's a chance for residents and those working in Allentown to learn about the criminal justice system. Topics covered range from how the department works to specialties like K9 units and emergency vehicle operations. This training is not designed to certify citizens to perform law enforcement services. Its purpose is to enhance community relations and provide citizens with insight into the criminal justice system. Class size is limited. Residents and citizens who live and/or work within the city limits of Allentown will be given first priority.
