About

Our Child and Family Services program is for residents of Lehigh County. It is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children within our community. We offer a range of initiatives designed to safeguard children, provide essential resources, and empower caregivers with crucial knowledge.

Car Seat Safety Program: Our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians provide caregivers with education and guidance on proper car seat selection, installation, and use. Through car seat check events and personalized appointments, we help caregivers ensure their child’s restraint is used correctly. For qualifying children who do not have access to an appropriate car seat, we may also be able to assist with providing one.

Safe Sleep Program: We provide caregivers of children under age two with education on safe sleep practices and ways to reduce the risk of sleep-related deaths. For qualifying caregivers who do not have a safe sleep space, we can also assist in providing one. This service is offered as part of the Child Home Safety Visit program.

Child Home Safety Visit: Our program provides home visits for pregnant individuals and caregivers of children under nine, focusing on education and recommendations to reduce common injury risks in the home. We may also provide qualifying families with home safety supplies, such as smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, cabinet locks, and other childproofing items, to help address identified safety hazards.

Our mission is to create safer homes and communities by providing essential resources, education, and support, ensuring every child's safety and well-being.
