Thanksgiving Collection Changes

Trash, recycling, and yard waste collections are cancelled on Thanksgiving night - Thursday night, Nov 23.
Residents in this collection zone may place 10 bags of trash and 1 bulk item out for collection on Monday night, Nov 27.
*Thursday night recyclers: Please hold your recycling and final yard waste collection until Thursday night, Nov 30.
All other trash collection zones are not affected by the Thanksgiving holiday. 
 

End of Season Yard Waste Schedule

The final curbside yard waste collections will be taking place the week of Thanksgiving - Nov 19 to Nov 24 on your recycling night.
Thursday night recyclers only - because of the holiday collection change, your final yard waste collection will be Thursday, Nov 30.
Leaves will continue to be collected by the Streets Dept up through the end of the year. Visit their website for more information, or call 610-437-7638.

The Yard Waste Site's final day will be Saturday, Nov 18, 8am to 2pm.
From Dec to March, the site will only be open on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 12pm (weather permitting).

Curbside Collection

Trash - a maximum of five (5) bags of trash (maximum 40 lb weight and 30 gallon size per bag) OR two (2) trash cans per collection night (maximum 70 lb weight and 32 gallon volume per can).
Bulk - One bulk item per week, on your SECOND collection night; Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Examples of bulk include: one piece of furniture, a mattress & boxspring set, or 40 lb maximum of construction material.
Recycling - Unlimited amount of household plastics, papers, cardboard, glass, cans and cartons. City-issued recycling containers must be used. Do NOT bag your recyclables - they are to be loose in your container. Cardboard may be flattened and placed next to your recycling bin.

Yard Waste - Only collected curbside from April to November on your recycling night. Place organic yard debris in a brown paper lawn bag or a rigid container, 32-gallons or smaller, with a Yard Waste sticker on it. Stickers are availabe at the Recycling Office. City-issued recycling containers may NOT be used for yard waste. Piles of branches/brush must be bundled and wrapped with twine or rope.

A Message About Trash Can Size Limits

Residents have the ability to use both regular trash cans and wheeled trash carts, as long as they fall within the 32-gallon size limit and do not weigh over 70 lbs (each) when filled with trash.
Unsure if your can or cart meets the size requirement?
A 32-gallon wheeled cart, generally, should not be any taller than your hip.
A 32-gallon trash can holds approximately 2-3 tall kitchen trash bags.
