Background Investigations

The Allentown Police Department is interested in identifying police officer candidates with the highest moral and ethical standards. To accomplish this, the Allentown Police Department conducts thorough and objective background investigations of all eligible applicants, in accordance with the requirements of the rules set forth by the City of Allentown Civil Service Board and the General Orders of the Allentown Police Department.
