Allentown Police Department handles over 100,000 calls for service yearly. Typically, officers on the street work five 8 hour shifts, have 2 days off, then work five 8 hour shifts, and have 3 days off. We have rotating shifts along with a steady night shift. Specialty units have different works hours than others. All of our Officers and Supervisors collectively work together to form the APD family.
