The City of Allentown is excited to announce the return of Lights in the Parkway, a beloved holiday tradition celebrating its 29th season in 2025! The event will illuminate Lehigh Parkway from Friday, November 28, 2025, through Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. nightly (closed Christmas Eve & Day and New Year’s Eve & Day).

October 15, 2025 – The City of Allentown is excited to announce the return of Lights in the Parkway, a beloved holiday tradition celebrating its 29th season in 2025! The event will illuminate Lehigh Parkway from Friday, November 28, 2025, through Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. nightly (closed Christmas Eve & Day and New Year’s Eve & Day).

Visitors can drive through more than a mile of dazzling light displays featuring over 200,000 energy-efficient LED lights. From twinkling tunnels and animated scenes to festive tree-lined paths, Lights in the Parkway continues to capture the joy and magic of the holiday season for families of all ages.

The popular Move It Mondays series is back, allowing visitors to walk, bike, or stroll through the displays up close. The Parkway will be closed to vehicles on December 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and January 5, with an additional Walking Day on Tuesday, January 6 to close out the season — a new addition for 2025.

We’ll feature partnerships with local groups celebrating diverse holiday traditions, including Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day.

Stay tuned for new themed experiences are also being developed, including a Polar Express Night, a Frozen-Themed Children’s Night, and other special holiday activities.

Early Bird Ticket Sale

Visitors can take advantage of the Early Bird Sale from October 15 through October 31, with $2 off all tickets before regular sales begin on November 1.

  • Early Bird Pricing: $14 per car | $24 per commercial vehicle (van, minibus, or limousine under 14 ft)
  • Regular Pricing (beginning November 1): $16 per car | $26 per commercial vehicle

Tickets are available exclusively online at allentownpa.gov/LITP – no on-site ticket sales. Online processing fees apply.

 

Getting There

Visitors should enter the Parkway from Martin Luther King Jr. Drive onto Lehigh Parkway East, following wayfinding signs throughout the city. Maps and additional details are available on the website.
