October 7, 2025 – The City of Allentown has completed a comprehensive update and digitization of more than 2,000 property records across the city’s three historic districts: Old Fairgrounds, Old Allentown, and West Park.
This initiative enhances the preservation and accessibility of Allentown’s architectural history, ensuring that detailed records of the city’s historic properties are modernized and available for future generations.
The public is invited to an open house to review the survey findings:
“Allentown’s historic districts are a vital part of our city’s identity, and this survey ensures we have an accurate, modernized record of the architectural character that makes our community unique,” said Jennifer Gomez, Director of Allentown’s Bureau of Planning and Zoning. “By digitizing this information, we’re not only preserving the past but also making it more accessible for future planning, education, and preservation efforts. Thank you to all who participated and supported this important project—I hope to see you at the open house.”
A preview of the survey results can be accessed online. For more information, please contact the City of Allentown’s Bureau of Planning and Zoning at (610) 437-7613 ext. 2865 or 2859.
