May 13, 2025 — The City of Allentown and the Allentown Police Department have launched a new interactive Incident Dashboard aimed at increasing transparency, building community trust, and improving public safety through real-time data sharing.
The dashboard provides residents with access to up-to-date information on police activity across the city. It includes a complete and ongoing list of all police incidents from January 1, 2024, to the present, with updates every night around midnight.
To protect privacy, all incidents are anonymized and displayed at the nearest intersection rather than specific addresses.
Key features include:
“The goal of the Incident Dashboard is to empower residents, community organizations, and public safety partners with accessible, accurate information about what’s happening in their neighborhoods,” said Police Chief Charles Roca. “We’re committed to transparency and continuous improvement, and we welcome public feedback as we expand this tool.”
The dashboard also shows active Neighborhood Groups when zoomed in and allows users to toggle between base maps, activate legends, or apply advanced filters for a customized view.
This is part of the city’s broader effort to improve data-driven decision-making, accountability, and community engagement.
