The Allentown Health Bureau is helping the community get ready for flu season by offering free flu shots beginning Friday, September 26, 2025. Clinics will be held every Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Alliance Hall, 245 N. 6th Street in Allentown.

September 24, 2025 — The Allentown Health Bureau is helping the community get ready for flu season by offering free flu shots beginning Friday, September 26, 2025. Clinics will be held every Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Alliance Hall, 245 N. 6th Street in Allentown.

Flu shots are available to individuals ages six months and older. No insurance or residency requirements are needed — the clinic is open to everyone.

“With flu season approaching, now is the time to get vaccinated,” said Health Bureau Director David Synnamon. “It only takes a minute to get your flu shot, but that minute can mean the difference between staying healthy or getting seriously ill. By protecting yourself, you’re also protecting your loved ones, your coworkers, and your neighbors.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone six months and older receive a flu vaccine every year. Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent seasonal flu and reduce the risk of severe complications, hospitalizations, and missed school or workdays.
