A power outage forced the closing of the city of Allentown’s Jordan Pool today.

The outage resulted from a vehicle that struck a utility pole on MacArthur Road.

PPL does not expect to restore power to the pool until late this afternoon or early evening.

Persons who frequent Jordan Pool are encouraged to visit Mack or Irving pools or the spray facilities at Bucky Boyle Park or at Fifth & Allen streets.
