City residents are invited to attend the 2015 Great Allentown Summit on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2pm-6:30pm in Building 21, the Allentown School District's new high school located at 265 Lehigh Street.
The theme for this year is “Connect, Learn, Do!” Participants will have an opportunity to connect with other engaged residents, attend a workshop and learn information relevant to their neighborhood. The event also offers an opportunity for residents to think about their 2016 neighborhood plans.
Donna J. Carney, Director of the Philadelphia Citizens Planning Institute, is the keynote speaker for the event. The Institute is the education and outreach arm of the City Planning Commission. Carney will speak on the development of educational tools to empower communities of people to learn, grow, and improve the quality of their neighborhoods.
