Jordan Pool Closed for 2014 Season

Jordan Pool Closed for 2014 Season

Due to a significant leak in the swimming pool, Jordan Park pool is closed for the season. Staff found the pool half-empty this morning and discovered a large leak.  Rather than restoring water levels and chemistry for a re-opening just prior to closing for the season, it has been decided to close the pool for the season effective immediately. The pool, at the north end of MacArthur Road and the Sixth Street extension, was set to close for general public swimming Friday evening.

This early closure will conserve an estimated 200,000 gallons of water, as well as the chemicals needed to make the pool safe for public swimming.

Those interested can still swim at the Cedar Beach Pool, located in Cedar Creek Parkway near the intersection of Linden and Ott Streets, through Labor Day Monday evening, September 1. Parking is accessible via the driveway off of Ott Street, between Hamilton and Linden Streets.

The Doggie Dips originally scheduled for Saturday, August 23 and Sunday August 24 at Jordan Pool have now been moved to Cedar Beach Pool. Two days of Doggie Dips will be held at Cedar Pool on Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September3, from 3 PM to 7 PM.
