The contractor for the 15th Street Bridge and Ward Street Bridge construction contract in the city of Allentown will begin installation of the decorative handrails along both sides of both bridges on Monday, July 21. It is anticipated that the installation work will take approximately two weeks to complete.

Traffic will not be impeded during fence installation; however, the traveling public should expect short term shoulder closures and lane shifts along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and 15th Street during the next two weeks.

The handrail is the last major item to be installed for the bridge project.
