Internationally known DJ Prince Hakim will handle the honors on the main stage at Seventh & Hamilton streets for the Juneteenth Celebration in the City of Allentown.
The son of Robert “Kool” Bell, founder of the legendary Kool & The Gang with 25 Top 10 R&B hits to their credit, DJ Prince Hakim has had a front row seat to watch some of the best performances around the world. It enabled Prince Hakim to learn the business side of entertaining while also developing his musical tastes, which range from Hip-Hop to Disco and everything in between. As a producer and a DJ, Prince Hakim always sets out to create a vibe that captures the essence of life.
Prince Hakim has traveled from New York to Tokyo sharing his passion and spreading his message to “Celebrate Life.” Hakim has DJ’d at a number of events including, the Bonnaroo Music Festival, Art Basel in Miami and some of the hottest clubs in New York such as La Esquina and Sony Hall.
Prince Hakim has taken his act to France, Belgium, Germany, Spain and Africa. He has performed at events for Whoopi Goldberg, Tommy Hilfiger, The Clinton Foundation, and the Carnegie Hall Notables. His list of television appearances includes The Today Show and The View.
Prince Hakim will be on stage from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. to play music and provide coordination for the celebration’s entertainment program.
