N Seventh Street from Tilghman Street north to the bridge (over Sumner Avenue) has been posted for snow removal for Friday, February 5 beginning at 7 p.m.

Teams will work from both ends of the designated routes.

Vehicles must be removed from the designated areas four hours before the work is scheduled to commence or they will be ticketed and towed, the costs of which can exceed $200.00.

Free parking is available in the Arena North Deck (712 W. Linden with room for 700 vehicles) and at the Allentown Fairgrounds by using the Gate 8 on Liberty Street.

Parking is also available in the Allentown School District Parking Deck at 18th & Turner.

The city’s plowing efforts have been hindered by abandoned vehicles.

Residents and property owners are urged not to throw snow into the street. In some cases, people are leaving huge piles of snow in the street that then require large equipment to get by.

City crews will continue to work 12-hour shifts.
