St. Patrick's Parade Cancelled
Following consultation with Allentown Mayor Ray O’Connell and the city health bureau, the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s parade and all related events due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

According to Parade Committee Co-Presidents Dianne Mascari and John Chaya, “The health and safety of parade event participants, attendees, and our committee is always our highest priority, and the decision to cancel this year's events was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure exactly that.”

“We thank the parade and event sponsors, participants and volunteers who put in countless hours of their time to celebrate our city and our Irish heritage,” the co-presidents added. “We will see you all in 2021. Until then, may the luck of the Irish and the blessing of St. Patrick be with you.”

The annual parade had been scheduled for Sunday, March 22. It is preceded by a pub crawl, City Hall flag raising ceremony, coronation and community day celebration, Roman Catholic mass, 5k run and pipe band exhibition on Allentown’s West End.
