The Allentown Department of Parks & Recreation will be taking down a 75-foot Oak Tree on Turner Street at West Park on Monday, December 23.
The Oak Tree has been in decline for years and is now at the point that it needs to be removed.
Turner Street will be closed at 17th Street at 8:30 a.m. It will remain closed until the tree has been removed.
No parking will be permitted on the 1600 block of Turner Street between West Street and 16th Street from 8:00 a.m. thru 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23 to facilitate removal of the tree.
