The contractor for the 15th Street and Ward Street Bridge project has advised the City of Allentown that crews will be painting the concrete surface of the 15th Street Bridge over Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive beginning tomorrow evening. Two coats of paint will be applied requiring a couple of two hour detours. The first will begin Wednesday evening, November 6, at 7:00pm and is expected to be complete by 9:00pm. The second will begin Thursday morning, November 7, at 4:00am and is expected to be completed by 6:00am.

Eastbound traffic on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive will be detoured north on S. 15th Street, west on South Street, north on S. 17th Street, east on Elm Street, and south on S. Franklin Street to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Westbound traffic on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive will be detoured north on S. Franklin Street, west on Elm Street, and south on S. 15th Street to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
