Allentown Top Place to Trick-or-Treat

Allentown is among the top cities in the country for Trick or Treating!

The city comes in number 24 on SmartAsset’s list of the Top 25 Best Places to Trick-or-Treat.

According to SmartAsset, they looked at data from 258 cities on housing density, housing stock, crime rates, percent of residents under the age of 15 and weather to compile their ranking.

SmartAsset ranks each city in seven of the same metrics. Then they found each city’s average ranking, giving equal weight to each metric. Using this average ranking, the final score is created. The city with the best average ranking received a score of 100 and the city with the worst average ranking received a 0.

Mayor Ray O’Connell said, “I always knew that Allentown is a great place to Trick-or-Treat. Now I know the data shows it is among the best in the country.”

Allentown scored 78.02. Erie at number 13 is the only other Pennsylvania city to make the Top 25. Orem, Utah comes in at number one.

Trick-or-Treat night in Allentown is Friday, October 26 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Participating residents are asked to keep their porch light on.
