Allentown Police Chief Tony Alsleben is announcing the start of the department’s “No-Shave November” program.

In cooperation with Fraternal Order of Police, Queen City Lodge #10, “No Shave November” allows officers to forgo the policy on shaving for a $20 donation.
Proceeds will be used by officers to take underprivileged children holiday shopping.

Last year, officers took 18 children from the Sixth Street Shelter on the tour. Enough money was raised to gift each child $150 to spend.
