No Appointment Vaccines at AHB

The Allentown Health Bureau will hold Monday through Friday vaccination clinics at its 245 N. 6th Street location to administer COVID-19 and adult and pediatric flu shots.

Effective Monday November 15, the Health Bureau is open for walk-ins – adult and pediatric flu – adult first, second or COVID booster doses, and the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-to-11 and 12-to-18 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Persons can telephone 610.437.7760 and choose 0 if an appointment is needed in the evening.

The health bureau has an ample supply of COVID-19 Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

According to the CDC, available data right now show that all three of the COVID-19 vaccines approved or authorized in the United States continue to be highly effective in reducing risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death, even against the widely circulating Delta variant. Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself and reduce the spread of the virus and help prevent new variants from emerging.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Masks are required. Please remember to bring your vaccination card.

Pfizer is the only COVID-19 vaccine approved for those between 5-and-11-years- old. The FDA and CDC have authorized a 10-microgram dose of Pfizer's vaccine in young children.

There are an estimated 28 million children in the United States in the 5-to-11 age group.

Additional opportunities for children ages 5-to-11 COVID 19 vaccinations are scheduled at the Agri-Plex at the Allentown Fairgrounds, 1725 W. Chew Street, Allentown PA 18104 on Monday, November 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, November 30 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

There is no charge for either the COVID-19 or flu vaccinations.
