Gordon Street Bridge Reopening

The Gordon Street Bridge reopened to traffic at 12 noon on Friday, September 10!

Kinsley Construction, Inc. from York, PA performed the work in a little over nine months.

The more than $3.3 million project was scheduled to begin in March 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic which at the time had halted all construction projects.

Detour routes had been in place. Normal eastbound travelers have been traveling south on Fifth Street to east on Hamilton Street to north on American Parkway to Gordon Street.  Normal westbound travelers have been traveling south on American Parkway to west on Linden Street and north on Sixth Street.
