The November 15 snowstorm is prompting changes in the trash and recycling collection schedule in the City of Allentown.

The snow thwarted the City’s hauler's plans to collect any trash or recycling overnight in the Monday and Thursday zones of the city.

This affected 11th Street to 17th Street, Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive north to the city limits for trash collection and 17th Street west to the city limits for trash, recycling and yard waste collections.

Residents from 11th Street west to the city limits (Monday and Thursday zones) will have their trash collected tonight, Friday night.

Residents from 17th Street west to the city limits (Thursday zone) should retrieve the recycling and yard waste from the curb and put it out for collection on Monday night, November 19.
