SS4A is a U.S. Department of Transportation program that provides grants to local communities for planning and implementation activities to prevent deaths and serious injuries on roadways. The City of Allentown received a Safe Streets for All grant to complete an SS4A Action Plan. Following the completion of the Action Plan, the City will apply for SS4A Implementation grants to implement interventions and improvements identified in the Action Plan.
