4TH ANNUAL VOLUNTEERISM AWARDS CELEBRATION (RESCHEDULED)

1: the act or practice of doing volunteer work in community service

Download an application for you to nominate that special individual that you see standing in the gap of community needs, who consistently answers the call of volunteerism.

Making our community better. Volunteers can acknowledged in healthcare, in the business sector, in education, in governmental setting, in communities and in faith-based organizations throughout Allentown.

In addition, last year a new category was included called the “Hero-up Award”. This award will be given to a youth up to the High School age group with exceptional commitment to volunteerism in Allentown. It is named in honor of Zachi Talesha who was inspired at a youth camp with the message of “Little things can make a big difference.”

Important dates to remember are:

  • All volunteer nominees must be submitted by end of day, April 28, 2016
  • Selected volunteers will be notified by April 29, 2016 to be invited to an awards presentation by Mayor Ed Pawlowski
  • Dinner awards celebration will be May 5, 2016 - 5:30 pm in the Lobby of City Hall
