Allentown residents can use the City’s 311 Citizen Problem Reporter to report non-emergency neighborhood issues throughout October for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card. The resident who submits the most valid reports during the contest will win.
The City of Allentown is launching its Notice it? 311 it! campaign and October 311 Contest to encourage residents to use the City’s 311 Citizen Problem Reporter to report non-emergency neighborhood issues.
From October 1 through October 31, 2026, the Allentown resident who submits the most valid 311 reports will receive a $100 Visa gift card.
“Residents know their neighborhoods better than anyone, and 311 gives them a direct way to let the City know when something needs attention,” said Mayor Matt Tuerk. “When you see an issue, we want you to have an easy way to report it and help us keep our neighborhoods safe and clean.”
Potholes and sidewalk issues are among the most frequently reported concerns through the City’s 311 system. Residents can use 311 to report non-emergency issues involving:
Streets and sidewalks
Traffic and lighting
Trash and recycling
Parks and recreation
Other non-emergency municipal services
To participate in the contest, residents must:
Be 18 years of age or older and reside in the City of Allentown.
Submit reports through the City of Allentown 311 Citizen Problem Reporter between October 1 and October 31, 2026.
Provide their name and either an email address or phone number when submitting a report. Anonymous reports are not eligible for the contest.
Submit valid reports of issues located within the City of Allentown.
Report each issue only once. Duplicate reports of the same issue from the same person will not count.
City staff will review submissions to determine whether they are valid. The participant with the most valid reports at the end of the contest will receive the $100 Visa gift card.
City employees, elected officials, appointed officials and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
The 311 system is strictly for non-emergency municipal services. Do not use 311 to report a life-threatening emergency, crime in progress, fire or medical crisis. For emergencies, call 911 immediately.
The contest begins at 12:00 a.m. on October 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on October 31, 2026.
The winner will be contacted using the contact information provided with their 311 submissions and must pick up the prize in person at Allentown City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18101.
