November 12, 2024 – The City of Allentown is excited to announce the return of Lights in the Parkway, an annual holiday tradition lighting up Lehigh Parkway from Friday, November 29, 2024, through Monday, January 6, 2025, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. (closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day).

This season, the City is proudly partnering with Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, WFMZ TV, and Da Vinci Science Center as Presenting Sponsors, enhancing an experience that draws visitors from across the country. As part of this partnership, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital will offer a special giveaway for youth visitors, while supplies last.

Visitors can drive through over a mile of enchanting holiday displays featuring more than 175,000-200,000 LED lights. From dazzling tree-lined paths to holiday tunnels and seasonal scenes, Lights in the Parkway captures the spirit of the season for the whole family to enjoy.

The popular "Move It Mondays" series is back with more opportunities to experience the lights up close. On select Mondays—December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, 2024, and January 6, 2025—the parkway will be closed to vehicles, allowing visitors to walk, bike, or stroll through the displays. These nights will feature partnerships with local groups to celebrate diverse cultural traditions. Stay tuned for more details on each special Monday event.
