latest news City of Allentown Launches New Cancer Screening Program for Firefighters Date: March 05, 2026 The City of Allentown launched a new cancer screening program for firefighters in collaboration with Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health. Firefighters now have yearly access to the Galleri multi-cancer detection blood test, which screens for more than 50 types of cancer.
