About

A Snow Emergency has been declared. Enforcement will begin at 10 p.m. Saturday, February 21.

The Snow Emergency will support snow plowing operations and ensure public safety as the City prepares for a significant winter storm.

Approximately 30 streets are designated as Snow Emergency Routes. Vehicles parked on these streets must be moved to non-snow emergency routes. The Allentown Parking Authority is opening all parking decks to the public for free, except for Strata, from 10 p.m. Saturday night through 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 24. Allentown Police, along with Ross Towing, will enforce no parking and tow cars as necessary. No parking on Snow Emergency Routes will be enforced until the Snow Emergency is lifted.

Snow Removal Notice - 2/6/26

The City is actively working on snow removal throughout the community, with a focus on school district areas, including designated bus routes.

As crews move through the city, temporary No Parking signs will be posted. Please do not park in these areas during this time, as parked vehicles may delay or prevent snow removal operations.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work to complete this effort safely and efficiently.

Driveway Clearing Timing

It's recommended to wait until plow trucks have cleared your neighborhood before clearing your driveway.

Missed Alleys Requests

To report missed alleys, please wait for 48 hours after the snow event concludes. This delay allows crews to prioritize clearing main and secondary areas.
