The Allentown Department of Parks & Recreation and the Parkland Aquatic Club are teaming-up to present the 3rd Annual PAAC Firecracker Swim Meet this weekend at Mack Pool.

This three day meet takes place today, Friday, July 7 from 4pm to 8pm, Saturday, July 8 from 8am to 8pm and Sunday, July 9 from 8am to 8pm. Mack Pool will be closed for recreational swimming at those times. Jordan Pool, Irving Pool and the city’s two spray parks will be open to the public weather permitting.

This meet hosts more than 750 athletes and over 1000 spectators from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. The event showcases Mack Pool as one of the few 50 meter long course Olympic size pools around.
