The contractor for the American Parkway Bridge project will implement a shift in the traffic patterns in the American Parkway road lanes that exist to the west of Sumner Avenue on Thursday, June 18.

Currently, the existing two eastbound lanes are being utilized for single lane, two way traffic while the existing two westbound lanes are being reconstructed. On Thursday, June 18, the two single lane traffic pattern will be shifted to the existing westbound lanes while the two eastbound lanes are reconstructed. Approximately 650 feet of the eastbound lanes will be reconstructed.

Traffic and pedestrian patterns on Bridge Street, Sumner Avenue, and Ridge Avenue will remain as they currently are. Motorist and pedestrians are alerted to watch for new signage directing the changes to the new traffic patterns.
