Plan Needs Community Input
The City of Allentown is in the process of preparing its Five-Year Consolidated Plan for submission to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Consolidated Plan will serve as a blueprint for the expenditures of HUD funds in the City of Allentown from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2020.

As part of this five-year planning process, the city is required to identify the affordable housing and community development needs for low-moderate income persons and households, as well as persons with special needs such as disabilities, substance abuse, mental illness, HIV/AIDS, the elderly, etc.

As part of the planning process, the city has prepared two online surveys to assist in identifying its specific community development needs over the next five years. Please select and complete the appropriate survey appropriate by clicking on the link below. All surveys should be completed by April 1, 2015.

In addition, the City will hold three Focus Group meetings and Public Hearings, which the public is invited and encouraged to attend. Continue to Focus Group Meeting Schedule.

Your participation in this planning process will enable the city to develop an accurate strategy that addresses the priority needs of these groups and individuals. We look forward to meeting with you at the Focus Group meetings. If you have any questions regarding the Focus Group/Public Hearing schedule or the survey, please contact Heidi at 610-437-7761 or by e-mail.
