Flick-N-Float at Jordan Pool

The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation presents the next installment of its 2017 Movies in the Park Series with a Flick-n-Float for ages 13 through 18 on Friday, July 7 for the showing of “The Shallows” at Jordan Pool at Jordan Park located at 1201 N. 6th Street. IDs are required and there is a $2.00 per person admission fee. Participants are welcome to bring their own floatation device to be able to enjoy this event from inside the pool.

“In the taut thriller “The Shallows,” when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy's ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.”

The approximately 86-minute movie is rated PG-13 and will begin at dusk (approximately 8:45pm).

The Jordan Pool concession stand will be open during this event with food items such as hot dogs, soft pretzels, pizza, ice cream, chips, water, soda and Slush Puppy Iced Drinks .

The rain date is Saturday, July 8.
