The city of Allentown is preparing for the coming winter storm.
According to Interim Director of Public Works Craig Messinger, the city has 43 trucks mounted with plows and salt spreaders to attack the storm. According to the city’s forecast service, the city could be hit with as much as nine inches of snow.
The city has an ample supply of road salt and anti-skid material.
The city’s Emergency Operations Center will open at 11o’clock tonight. The city’s "Snow Operations Hotline" will be open at 610-437-7669.
