The 12th Annual 3.21 Run for Down Syndrome will offer a hybrid event!  This hybrid event includes 2 LIVE events on Saturday 4/19/25 along with a virtual race from March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day, through April 19th, 2025. to raise awareness for Down syndrome and important funds to support the EPDSC.  This one-of-a-kind run was specially mapped at 3.21 miles to represent the 3 copies of the 21st chromosome that causes Down syndrome.

There are three options to choose from for registration: Timed Run/Walk, Un-timed Run/Walk, or Virtual.

Not sure you can make the live event on April 19th? Get the full experience virtually! Enjoy flexible participation, a free t-shirt, and all the event highlights from the comfort of your own home. It’s not your typical 5K, it has just a little bit extra to make it special.  The world is your course. The 3.21 Run can be done any place and at any pace! 

This year, we're introducing exciting new race categories, amazing awards, and a fun twist on the traditional egg hunt for children that you won’t want to miss!

Race Winner Categories (Winners receive a medal and special gift)

  • Top 3 Overall (All Ages & Genders) – Medals awarded to the top 3 finishers, regardless of age or gender.
  • Top 3 Youth (Ages 0-19) – Medals for the top 3 young athletes.
  • Top 3 Young Adults (Ages 20-39) – Medals for the top 3 in this age group.
  • Top 3 Middle-Aged Adults (Ages 40-59) – Medals for the top 3 finishers.
  • Top 3 Older Adults (Ages 60+) – Medals for the top 3 in this category.
  • Top Individual with Down Syndrome – Medal awarded to the top finisher in this category

Exciting Special Fun Awards

  • Funniest Finish: For the participant who crosses the finish line in a fun, quirky, or unexpected way. Maybe they’ve got a funny costume or do a hilarious victory dance.
  • Heart of Gold Award: For the participant who embodies kindness, empathy, and warmth during the entire event.
  • Best Cheering Section: For the most enthusiastic, creative, and supportive group of fans cheering at the finish line.
