Grant for Temporary Shelter of Unhoused Individuals in Hotels

The City of Allentown allocated $50,000 in its 2026 budget for temporary placement of unhoused individuals in hotels.

The City of Allentown is in need of services to:

1. Manage the $50,000 to ensure it is spent on temporarily housing individuals in hotels;
2. Identify area hotel(s) willing to partner with the agency to perform these services;
3. Connect clients in need to these services;
4. Work with the hotels and the clients when issues arise; and
5. Report out on the use of money and data surrounding the program. 

Any agency serving the unhoused population in the City of Allentown is welcome to apply.

Applicants must be in good standing with the City of Allentown.

Applications will be reviewed and judged based on the applicant’s ability to successfully perform the tasks required based off of past experience and stated future goals and plans.

Applications will be reviewed by a team of City Employees from the Health Bureau and the Finance Department.

The deadline to apply is Friday, April 24th 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

Awards will be announced no later than Monday, May 7th 2026.
