Summer Playground Program

The City of Allentown’s Summer Playground Program begins June 12 and runs through August 3, includes playground activities for children ages 7 to 15 from 1 to 3:30pm on Mondays and from 9am to 3:30 pm Tuesdays through Fridays.

*Lunches will be served Tuesdays through Fridays starting Tuesday, June 20.

Those who participate will also be invited to an end of year ‘Romper Day Celebration’ on Monday, July 31 at 7pm at J. Birney Crum Stadium.

Locations for the Summer Playground Program include:

School Playgrounds:

• Jackson/Ramos Elementary - 517 N. 15th St.
• Midway Manor (Newcomer Academy) - Tacoma & Pennsylvania Streets
• Muhlenberg Elementary - 21st & Washington Streets
• Sheridan Elementary - 521 N. 2nd St

City Playgrounds:

• Andre Reed (Irving) Park - E. Washington & Irving Streets
• Ithaca Playlot - SW 30th St & Ithaca Street
• Jordan Park - 6th & Sumner Ave.
• Keck Park - S. Carlisle & E. Mosser Streets.
• Percy Ruhe - Oxford Drive & Pearl Ave.
• Roosevelt Park - Filmore St. - Between W. Saucon & Camp Streets.
• Stevens Park - 630 N. 6th Street
• Trout Creek West - 8th & Juniata Streets.
• Union Terrace - Union Street (West of 19th Streets)
• Valania Park - 6th & Union Streets
• Walden Terrace Playlot - S. Carbon & S. Lumber St. (2366 S. Carbon St.)

**These sites have separate programs, registrations, dates/times, and costs. They all participate in field trips and Romper Day activities.
