ZONING HEARING BOARD
PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board will meet in Council Chambers, Room #118, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA on Monday, August 31, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing the following appeals.
ALL APPELLANTS MUST APPEAR AT MEETING
1. A-67109 243-247 North 8th Street Appeal of Ramon Evangelista for Sante Gonzalez to expand existing insurance/notary office to include COMPUTER REPAIR AND CELL PHONE SALES, change days and hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday to 10 A.M. TO 6 P.M., SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, and change face of existing window sign (2 ft. x 5 ft.), non-illum., at front, being an expansion of a use and change of Condition #1 granted by the Zoning Hearing Board under Application No. 59964 on May 15, 2006, and office and retail sales being a use permitted by Special Exception under Article 1314.02.C.4.a., located in a Medium High Density Residential (R-MH) and Traditional Neighborhood Development Overlay (TNDO) District.
2. A-67249 602 North 6th Street Special Use Application of Rafe Chatih for Iftekhar Ansari to remove 28 restaurant seats, and convert the area to RETAIL CONVENIENCE STORE (take-out restaurant to remain), with hours from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, & reface existing projecting sign (4 ft. x 4 ft.), exterior illum., @ front, with retail store & sign being permitted by Special Exception under Article 1314.02.C., and being a change of use & sign granted by the Zoning Hearing Board under Application No. 64666 on August 30, 2012, located in a Medium High Density Residential (R-MH) and Traditional Neighborhood Development Overlay (TNDO) District.
All persons interested or those desiring to protest against the allowance of the above appeals may appear and be heard. The appeals listed above may be reviewed at the Zoning Office, 4th Floor, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
THE FOLLOWING APPEAL WILL BE BEFORE THE BOARD AT THE ABOVE DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR DISCUSSION BY THE BOARD AND THE RENDERING OF AN OPINION.
