Rememberance Trees
The Friends of the Allentown Parks, in cooperation with the Department of Parks and Recreation, will plant a tree in a city park and install a ground stake plaque containing the name of the donor(s) and the name of the honored person/event. Minimum Donation Cost per tree is $375.00. Remembrance Trees are 2.5-3.0 inches in diameter and 5-6 feet tall. Trees have a one (1) year replacement guarantee. You may choose from shade, flowering, or evergreen trees. Varying environmental conditions affecting growth of trees within a given park or at various park locations, along with planting programs already in progress, require that Remembrance Tree placements and the type of tree be at the discretion of the professional staff of the Parks Bureau. Park locations include: Cedar Creek Parkway, Lehigh Parkway, Irving Park, Jordan Park, Percy Ruhe Park, Fountain Park, and the Allentown Municipal Golf Course. For an order form and a Remembrance Tree brochure, contact the Friends of the Allentown Parks at parkfriends@allentowncity.org or 610-437-7750. |
