S 5th Street will be closed from Hamilton Street to Maple Street on Sunday, September 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a crane to set safety railings on top of the Federal Courthouse.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the city of Allentown and the region from 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 23 through Friday, September 24 at 2 a.m.

The Gordon Street Bridge reopened to traffic at 12 noon on Friday, September 10!

All Allentown streets that had been closed for a time due to flooding from the remnants of tropical depression Ida have reopened.

Weather permitting, Hamilton Street will be closed from 10th Street to 9th Street on Thursday, September 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work at 937 Hamilton Street.

Asphalt Maintenance Solutions, Inc. of Emmaus is getting the city’s 2021 Street Maintenance Program underway.

Saturday’s Blues Brews and Barbecue Festival and Sunday’s Lehigh Valley Puerto Rican Parade and Festival will result in some street closures in downtown and center city Allentown.

Lehigh Parkway East will be closed from Wyoming Street to the intersection of Lehigh Parkway North for five weeks beginning on Wednesday, July 28. 

N 4th Street in the City of Allentown will be closed from Chew Street to Gordon Street on Wednesday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a crane to set a new HVAC unit at Allentown Central Catholic High School.
