LCA Update for the City of Allentown 2/9/22

LCA crews conducted an investigation in the area of N. 2nd and Turner St. on 2/9/22 after customer reports of low pressure, no water, dirty water, cloudy water, or air in the lines.

This typically indicates something occurred to cause excess air in the water system, such as a hydrant being opened, a main break, or a break inside a customer facility. No issues within the public water system have been discovered and there is no indication of any risk to water quality at this time. However, LCA crews will continue to monitor the system and may be conducting system flushing over the next few hours to remove excess air from the water lines.

Impacted customers may want to flush toilets and open cold-water faucets for a minute or two to flush in-home plumbing systems. Customers still experiencing issues should contact LCA at 610-437-7515.
