Cedar Crest Frosh Helping Friends

Friends of the Allentown Parks in cooperation with the City of Allentown Department of Parks & Recreation are hosting 150 volunteers of the Cedar Crest College incoming freshman class on Saturday, August 25. Students will conduct beautification activities primarily concentrating on invasive plant removal in two Allentown Parks - Cedar Creek Parkway and Trexler Park.

2018 marks the 6th year of this collaborative undertaking, which incorporates local community service projects as part of the College’s Freshman Orientation Program. Prior park-related activities have included wildlife habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, painting and other beautification activities.

The morning event is rain or shine.
